APO SANDAWA CLIMB FESTIVAL

The Apo Sandawa Climb Festival is celebrated during the summer, it is two (2) day event that usually falls on the "Holy" week of every year, and celebrated either in Climber's Den or Lake Agco, Kidapawan City. It is a connected activity to the annual Mt. Apo Climb, where mountaineers and trekkers answer the call to climb the highest mountain in the Philippines.
This festival celebrates the life and culture of the Manobo Tribe: the major tribe living in Kidapawan City.
The event is filled with a showcase of the traditional dance, songs and instruments, as well as playing of their traditional games such as "pana", "bangkaw", "kadang-kadang" etc. A celebration that is surely enjoyed by the Manobos of Kidapawan.
